Women Empowerment Through Literacy: Transforming Lives in Gaya, Bihar

In the heart of the Tikari block of Gaya district, Bihar, we are committed to empowering women through education. Our Adult Literacy Center is a beacon of hope for women who have never had the opportunity to enroll in school and who struggle with the basic skills of reading and writing, including signing their own names.

Understanding the transformative power of literacy, we have established 60 dedicated learning centers that focus on providing these essential skills to women from marginalized Dalit and Maha Dalit communities. Through this initiative, we have successfully reached 2,400 women, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their world with dignity and self-assurance.

Our literacy program is about more than just education; it is about reclaiming identity, building self-worth, and empowering women to participate fully in their families and communities. By giving these women the tools they need to read, write, and communicate effectively, we are helping to open doors to new opportunities and creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond the individual learner.

At our Adult Literacy Center, we believe that education is the foundation of empowerment, and through our efforts, we are contributing to a future where every woman can live with dignity, autonomy, and pride.
